160W (80W+80W) solar panels with 2 x 5m cable

This package includes two 80W high-efficiency, waterproof monocrystalline solar panels, each with a 5m cable and MC4 connectors. The 160W system is perfect for permanent outdoor use and provides free electricity for charging 12V batteries to power various applications. It can be used in camper vans, motorhomes, boats, sheds, farms, as well as remote applications such as telecommunications or monitoring equipment. Additionally, it can provide a direct power supply for applications not sensitive to changes in input voltage/current (e.g. electric motors or pumps).

Each solar panel comes with 5m of special solar cable designed to work at high roof temperatures with minimal power loss. The cable is fitted with a pair of male/female MC4 connectors for easy connection to other solar panels or extension leads, or to your existing system. The long-lasting, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and tough, sealed aluminum frame provide consistent, free power for many years. The waterproof design allows the panels to be used in all weather conditions. These panels feature innovative 5 busbar solar cells, known for their high efficiency and ability to extract more power from the same surface area compared to panels with 2, 3, or 4 busbar solar cells. This results in a smaller overall solar panel, ideal for limited space applications, and makes them well-suited for warmer climates as they operate efficiently even in high ambient temperatures.

If you plan to use these solar panels for charging a 12V battery or battery bank, please note that they require a solar charge controller/regulator. We recommend our 10A solar charge controller for these solar panels. If you plan to add more solar panels in the future, you will need a more powerful controller, and we recommend our 20A solar charge controller instead. Specifications for each panel are as follows:

This product is covered by a 1-year workmanship warranty provided by Photonic Universe. The manufacturer guarantees that the solar cells will produce at least 90% of nominal power 10 years after purchase and at least 80% of nominal power 25 years after purchase.

These 2 x 80W solar panels can be wired in parallel to charge a 12V battery or battery bank, or in series to charge a 24V battery or battery bank. The panels do not come with an installation manual, as they need to be connected to further devices such as a solar charge controller or inverter, which are supplied with a manual. If you plan to use these panels to charge a 12V battery, we recommend purchasing one of our solar charge controllers, which includes an instruction manual with detailed installation instructions and wiring diagrams.
