This solar charge controller is equipped with advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, which allows it to efficiently track the maximum power voltage point of solar panels, adjusting to changes in sunlight exposure and temperature. This technology ensures optimal efficiency of your solar system, surpassing standard PWM solar controllers.

Another advantage of MPPT technology is its wide solar input voltage range, enabling the controller to work with a variety of solar panels, including those with voltages up to 100V. The maximum combined input solar power allowed for this controller is 260W for a 12V battery system or 520W for a 24V system. This controller is especially beneficial for increasing the efficiency of solar systems with higher solar panel voltages compared to the battery voltage, such as charging a 12V battery with a 36V solar panel.

In addition to MPPT technology, this charge controller features a comprehensive set of electronic protection functions to maximize the efficiency and safety of your solar system. These protection functions include preventing reverse current at night (from the battery back to the solar panel), automatic cut-off to prevent over-charging and deep discharge, solar panel overvoltage, overload, short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The controller also has self-diagnostic capability and is equipped with advanced fault-targeting technology to highlight any system errors.

This controller is also compatible with lithium batteries when a lithium battery charging program is selected using PC software or a mobile app. It automatically recognizes 12/24V battery systems (note that a battery should always be connected to the controller before connecting a solar panel). The built-in LCD screen shows real-time charging parameters, such as voltage, current (separately for solar panel/load), battery state of charge, accumulated charge, and discharge energy. It also features easy-to-use buttons for manually selecting the battery type (sealed, flooded, or gel) and programming load settings.

The controller’s current limiting function (10A) allows for the possibility of adding more solar panels to your solar system in the future. Additionally, it offers multiple connectivity options for monitoring and programming parameters, including connecting to a remote meter MT50 with an LCD screen, a Wi-Fi module to create a Wi-Fi network for monitoring and adjustment through a free mobile app, and an RJ45 to USB cable for direct connection to a PC/laptop to monitor and adjust parameters via a free computer program - Solar Station Monitor (compatible with Windows-based PCs and laptops only). If using the RJ45 to USB cable, the user also has the option to create a user-defined battery type with charging parameters specific to their battery and can set the charging parameters for lithium batteries.

Please take note of the following information:

By using one of these communication methods, users will not only gain access to the standard charging parameters displayed on the built-in LCD screen, but also additional information such as minimum and maximum voltages, temperature, protection cutoff voltages, diagnostics, and other details. If necessary, users will also be able to adjust the battery capacity, set charging volts for different charging stages, specify the duration of each charging stage, create a user-defined battery type with specific charging parameters, and more.

In addition to the built-in temperature sensor and intelligent heat-dissipating design of this controller, there is a socket for connecting a remote temperature sensor, which can be attached directly to the battery to measure the battery temperature more precisely and optimize the charging process (inbuilt temperature sensor is not enabled for lithium batteries).
