The SolarEdge GSM Plug-in provides wireless communication between the inverter and the SolarEdge monitoring server. This enables monitoring of the SolarEdge system on the SolarEdge monitoring portal without internet infrastructure on site.
The GSM modem uses a SIM card (not included) to transfer the data, like any SIM card it must have a sufficient data plan (or credit) and signal to do this. More details and information on how much data is used can be found in the manual.
