This circuit breaker is a versatile unit that combines the functions of a resettable 150A fuse and an on/off switch. It is designed for DC systems requiring both overcurrent protection and manual isolation of the circuit. The breaker is compatible with a wide range of DC system voltages, from 12V to 48V.
Similar to a fuse, this circuit breaker is intended to safeguard the system from overcurrent events caused by high power draw, short-circuits, wiring errors, equipment faults, or any other high current event. However, unlike fuses, this circuit breaker is resettable, offering a superior alternative to fuses that require replacement when blown. In addition to overcurrent protection, the breaker features a manual-break option that allows it to function as an isolator on/off switch for simple disconnection and reconnection of the system.
Constructed from durable thermal plastic with a UL94V-0 rating, the breaker is engineered to withstand high temperatures. It is also IP67 rated for water resistance and meets international standards S.A.E. J1625, J1171, UL1500 for ignition protection. This product is suitable for a wide range of DC applications, including connecting solar or wind charge controllers to batteries, sitting between off-grid inverter DC input and batteries, DC power distribution or charging circuits, and other DC automotive and marine applications. Please note that this product is suitable for panel or recess mount.
