This is a high efficiency 20A dual battery MPPT solar charge controller with an LCD display. It is designed for solar panels up to 260W in a 12V battery system or 520W in a 24V battery system. The controller uses advanced MPPT technology to charge two independent batteries or battery banks. The main battery is charged at high power, while a secondary battery is given a trickle charge of up to 1A. This makes it perfect for a campervan, motorhome, boat, or any other system with two batteries (e.g. engine and leisure battery). The main battery will be charged with the majority of the power, while the second battery will be trickle charged to keep it topped up and ready for use.

Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Technology ensures the maximum efficiency of your solar system, significantly outperforming standard PWM solar controllers. Another benefit of MPPT technology is the wide solar input voltage range. This controller can work not only with standard off-grid 12/24V solar panels, but also with multiple panels with a voltage up to 100V. The maximum combined solar input power allowed for this controller is 260W for a 12V battery system or 520W for a 24V system. This controller will significantly increase the efficiency of a solar system where the solar panel voltage is much higher than the battery voltage (e.g. charging a 12V battery with a 36V solar panel).

The controller features a comprehensive set of electronic protection functions to prevent reverse current at night (from the battery back to the solar panel), over-charging, short circuit, reverse polarity, and more. The solar controller case is water-resistant to a rating of IP33 when installed, protecting against sprays of water at up to 60 degrees from vertical.

This model is 100% compatible with a broad range of battery types for the main battery, such as Gel, AGM, Lead-Acid Flooded, and Lithium (LiFePO4 or Li-NiCoMn) batteries.

The built-in LCD screen shows real-time charging parameters such as voltage, current (separately for the solar panel and each battery), battery state of charge, and accumulated charging energy. Easy-to-use buttons allow the user to manually select the battery type, change the temperature units, and reset the in-built counters. The system automatically goes into a low-power mode when not in use, reducing standby consumption when there is no solar power available.

The current limiting function (20A) allows the possibility of adding more solar panels to your solar system in the future. Additionally, this model is also compatible with a remote meter MT11 with an LCD screen, which displays system performance information and allows the user to manually adjust parameters and load settings from an easy-to-use and install remote screen.

In addition to the built-in temperature sensor and intelligent heat-dissipating design of this controller, there is also a socket for connecting a remote temperature sensor, which can be attached directly to the battery to measure the battery temperature more precisely. This allows the system to optimize the charging process for lead-acid batteries or provide low-temperature protection for lithium batteries."

    Controller specifications:

This controller uses the most advanced MPPT technology to ensure high efficiency (>95%) of your solar system. It features fully automated operation and auto 12/24V selection.

It has 3 pairs of terminals (solar panel, battery 1, battery 2) for wires up to 16mm2. The maximum solar panel voltage is 100V, and the maximum solar panel power is 260W (12V) / 520W (24V).

It also includes a temperature sensor for automatic compensation (-3mV/°C/2V) and comprehensive electronic protection features. The controller has a communication port for RS485 interface and a negative common ground for grounding.

Other features include a current limiting function (20A), self-consumption of <26mA, and a working temperature range of -30°C to +80°C.

The controller has a size of 243.7 x 158 x 63 mm, with mounting dimensions of 180 x 149 mm and a weight of 1.1 kg. It has multiple mounting holes (5mm diameter) for ease of installation. The product is covered by a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and it comes with a detailed user manual that explains wiring and operations.

Please note: the two battery banks for this controller must have the same rated voltage (12V or 24V). The second battery should be connected first, before the primary battery, as this is used for the automatic system voltage recognition.
