40W Solar Panel:

This waterproof 40W 12V monocrystalline solar panel is highly efficient and designed for permanent outdoor use. It provides free electricity for charging 12V batteries, making it ideal for various applications such as camper vans, motorhomes, boats, sheds, farms, as well as remote applications like telecommunications or monitoring equipment.

It can also directly power applications not sensitive to input voltage/current changes, such as electric motors or pumps. The panel comes equipped with 5m of special solar cable designed to work at high roof temperatures with minimal power losses. It also features male/female MC4 connectors crimped on the end of the cable for convenient connection to other solar panels, extension leads, or existing systems. The high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and tough, sealed aluminum frame ensure long-lasting, consistent, free power. The waterproof design allows for use in all weather conditions. Additionally, the panel features innovative 5 busbar solar cells, which are more efficient than the 2, 3, or 4 busbar solar cells used in most other solar panels and can extract more power from the same surface area. This results in a smaller overall solar panel, making it ideal for applications with limited space. These solar cells are also the best choice for applications in warmer climates, as they operate well even in high ambient temperatures.

10A Solar Charge Controller:

This kit includes a 10A 12V/24V dual battery solar charge controller designed to charge and protect 2 batteries independently, with automatic cutoff to prevent overcharging. The controller uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology to increase charge acceptance and prolong the life of your batteries. It can recover some lost battery capacity as well. This is a perfect solar controller for caravans, camper vans, boats, or other systems with 2 batteries (e.g., engine and leisure battery) or battery banks. The controller allows you to set the initial charging priority, allocating power between batteries. When one battery is fully charged, the controller will automatically divert all power to the other battery. The unit has multiple protection functions, including stopping reverse current at night, overcharge protection, short circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, and more. Other features include various LED indicators, battery type selection (sealed, gel, flooded), and an RJ-45 socket for an optional remote LCD meter with a 10m cable. The built-in temperature sensor allows the controller to optimize the charging process based on the ambient temperature. If the controller is positioned far away from the battery, or if the battery and the controller are exposed to different ambient temperatures, an external remote temperature sensor with a 3m cable is recommended for this dual battery solar charge controller. The controller can work with solar panels up to 160W, allowing for the addition of up to three more 40W solar panels to your system at a later date, without the need to change the controller.

- The solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 90% of nominal power 10 years after purchase, and at least 80% of nominal power 25 years after purchase. This warranty is provided by the manufacturer of the solar cells.

- Note that the solar charge controller in this kit is not waterproof and should be mounted indoors.
