This solar charge controller provides advanced monitoring of the charging process and a wide selection of load programming features. It also offers full protection for your battery bank. The user-friendly controller includes an LCD display and convenient dual USB output for fast charging of USB-compatible devices. It uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology, which is capable of increasing charge acceptance and extending the lifespan of the battery. Additionally, PWM technology can help recover some lost battery capacity.
Full system protection: This charge controller boasts a comprehensive range of electronic safety features. These include protection against reverse current at night (from the battery back to the solar panel), automatic cut-off to prevent over-charging, deep discharge, overheating, overload, short circuit, and reverse polarity (of the solar panels and batteries).
Advanced programming and monitoring features: This model is equipped with an LCD display featuring multi-level menu operation and a user-friendly interface with two multifunctional buttons. The screen showcases real-time solar panel and battery performance data, including voltage, current, battery state of charge, and battery temperature.
An energy statistics counter displays the accumulated daily and monthly charge values, which is useful for comparing solar panel performance between different periods. You can also connect an optional 12V load (e.g. lighting or fans) directly to the solar charge controller, with various settings for night-time lighting applications. The controller offers various charging programs for different battery types, allowing you to easily select the appropriate one.
The solar charge controller also features a dual USB charging output with 5V USB ports offering a total combined output of 2.4A for fast charging of USB compatible devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and mp3 players. Additionally, the controller has a pair of terminals for connecting a remote temperature sensor (sold separately) to obtain a more precise temperature measurement and optimize the charging process.
This controller is suitable for solar panels with a combined power of up to 160W (12V battery system) or 320W (24V battery system). It has a wide solar input voltage range of up to 50V, allowing the use of on-grid solar modules with a voltage higher than 12V/24V. The controller is designed for use with sealed, gel, or flooded batteries/battery banks with a voltage of 12V or 24V, and will automatically determine the appropriate working mode.
